The best song in the world. There was no other and there will be no other. AC/DC thunderstrucked.
P.S Rumors go that Angus Young’s airplane really got thunderstrucked during the flight.

A couple of days ago Google announced Google TV.
Rest is totally imho… This google tv sounds like “yeahwhateva”
if i want to watch something online i just plug a cable in computer and sit in sofa. Yeah, in old days you had buy a new gadget for every technology you wanted to use with tv (vcr, dvd, dvd with mpeg support, dvd with Divx support, dvd with usb support, media center, playstation, blueray, tivo, dvb-t, etc). So on one hand google makes a step towards convergence and synergy, BUT.
Now you need just two cables – one for cabetv, other for pc
and nothing more. and with such solution i can not only watch crappy youtube video diary of chris crocker but also play games, browse, show photos, videos ![]()
Anyway this is next step in google tendency to rule the world. Weird, that they dont have a consumer electronics. it would be cool if i walk up to fridge where 13″ monitor cheerfully announces that milk is sour and i should by one from neares 30 stores, but then there are some who will deliver it right to me if i click just a sinlge buttton.
Still, thanks for discussion. i will continue. this kind of sucks. technologies go that way that anything you buy tomorrow was already old yesterday. on the other hand – anything you bought yesterday was full of features that you will not use even in a year.
still, i think google is kind of loosing grap. laste few superdupertechnologies died even without living a moment … yet…- wave, buzz….
By the way – Murphy’s law wasn’t created by Murphy himself but by some other guy called Murphy
This is soooo true…. Not only for coders but any creative personality.
The Urban Dictionary: The theory that computer programmers obtain quasi-magical, superhuman coding ability when they have a blood alcohol concentration percentage between 0.129% and 0.138%. The discovery of this effect is attributed to Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft – who probably “discovered” it by simply monitoring his own perpetually inebriated nervous system, and deducing that programming ability “peaks” after a few drinks and then dips dramatically after full-blown drunkenness ensues. If you can convince your boss that this is all based on legitimate science, and that the effect is real (i.e. your drunkeness = better code = more money for the company), then you will have achieved perfection in this world. There will be no reason to ever come back sober from lunch again. Also known as “The Ballmer Curve” and “The Ballmer Effect” this state has been observed by people who play darts… and musicians. Although, to be fair, musicians only notice the effect briefly (and totally by accident) as they transition from complete sobriety to absolute drunkeness – without ever even trying to moderate their alcohol intake in order to stay at the peak.
A supposed “peak” in programming ability caused by alcohol. The term was coined by an XKCD web comic: http://xkcd.com/323/. The phrase is in reference to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, who generally acts pretty crazy, much like an angry drunk, and hence the alcohol joke.
Somewhat ironically, Ballmer never wrote any production code while at Microsoft. His background is in business rather than engineering, though he is renowned for his ability to perform difficult mathematical calculations mentally.
After having one glass of wassail, Haley’s code suddenly improved due to the Ballmer Peak.
I finished that programming assignment in one night thanks to the Ballmer Peak.
Man, they really must have overshot the Ballmer Peak when they wrote Vista.
I had three more Long Island Teas after I had already hit the Ballmer Peak, so now none of my fucking code will compile.
New Google Phone Service Whispers Targeted Ads Directly Into Users’ Ears
Author: Edgars | Filed under: DailyStuffA looong time ago i had troubles selecting names for variables and functions and it was like $x, $y, blabla();
Now its just excellent – makeFormDefinitionFieldAttribute();
Under Eclipse with SVN project after folder (package) is renamed via Refactor->Rename it appears like a new package with old contents AND old package marked as “Deleted”.
But sometimes this old plugin cant be deleted by commiting changes to svn. It just yells about folders being out of synchronization or other silly stuff which annoys me. And nothing helps – not cleanup, update, not reverting, not refreshing. nothing. The old package (folder) stays there.
I found a dirty way to tell Eclipse and SVN that i dont give a hack on their objections and WANT this folder to be deleted.
Just close delete the whole folder physically in file level. Then make “update to HEAD”. It will recreate the old package as it was. And NOW you can just erase it and forget about it after commiting changes.
I got exhausted by this too many times now and i am trying to avoid refactor_>rename. Just create new folder and drag’n'drop files i need to keep and delete old package as such. But to tell you the truth – even that is not always working in Eclipse with Subversion plugin.
Ok, anyway, keep it real. I am glad that i am not the only one having problems like these.
I respect copyrights, have at least 100 legal DVDs, avoid illegal downloading and buy legal soft that is worth spending money. But still once in a while i understand why people download music from disputable sources and don’t pay money for that. And i am not the only one. Sometimes even artist “steal” and sometimes they steal from theirself.
So, there is a band i like, I know that electronic version of their masterpieces exists. I dont want to buy CD because it is not handy for me just like vinyl, tape or cover by Richard Clayderman. Sorry, just dont want to. And since i know that electronc version exists and is available somewhere, i want to apply for it and pay my money for that. Please take my money!
There used to be a brilliant service called last.fm but then they got greedy. And i discovered Spotify. Fantastic service, the best in the world that delivers the music to the listener in the most comfortable way – everywhere, anywhere on any modern contemporary sound processing device.
Ok, now to the point. I used to listen “Arcade Fire” on spotify. “No cars go” twice per day. And NOW it is not available in Norway. Why? I pay money. Please take my money. I would like to BUY some tracks (Rebellion, No cars go, Wake up), but can’t do, because someone obviously doesnt need my money. Ok, as you wish… at least myspace has what i want.
Anyway, why don’t you want my money?
I like coffee. i enjoy coffee a lot. I can drink 3 liters coffee per day and still want more. Alright, 3 liters is exaggeration, but that’s what i did the other day – 5 cups of 0.6 coffee.
How much coffee do you drink per day usually?
Another thing about NuSOAP. If you get Fatal error: Uncaught SoapFault exception it means that in my humble opinion nusoap documentation should be updated. To me it looks like method to use instead of
$client = new soapclient($address, ..);
you should use
$client = new soapclientNusoap(($address, ...);
Or maybe i’m wrong. But at least this is what i understood and what works for me because nusoap library out of the box doesnt work even with soap php extension loaded. but after i dived into nusoap.php i found out that comment by soapclientNusoap says:
soapclientNusoap higher level class for easy usage.
