Microsoft extended downgrade right for Windows XP users. Which could be like “whatever” for me since i am a Mac OS X Snow Leopard user, but still – i cannot imagine too – what else is needed for my work (and i spend average 12h per day sitting and glaring into shiny monitor). What else is there so cool unknown and unpredictable that would ignite “wantwantneedmust” fire. Have no idea.
Of course, i might sound as Bill Gates with his notorious “640K ought to be enough for anybody”, but still – has the world really come to the point where hardware updates are no really needed? For normal people. I know gamers always need something bigger and better. Still – my 3 years old iMac does everything it should. Why should i update? Why should anyone update their pc’s in nearest future since they do everything they should do. It’s not 1994 anymore, when i brought home Doom in 4 floppies and cried “oh why oh why i have 2Mb of ram and not 4…”
I can watch 1080 movies, i play gtaIV, i write invoices, i skype, code, run 2 virtual machines, listen to spotify, execute mysql queries. No problems doing all that with my 3years old hardware. At least not until i buy 4k tv with video in.
